NASHVILLE, Tenn. - The Nashville Metros will be holding tryouts this Saturday and Sunday, March 13 and 14 from 9:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. CDT.  Registration will begin at 8 a.m. CDT at Ezell Park.  The tryouts are open to any athlete wishing to see if they have what it takes to play soccer at the next level.  The fee to participate is $25 and must be paid upon arrival to the tryouts.    

NASHVILLE – The Nashville Metros found themselves in Murfreesboro on Saturday to take on the Mississippi Brilla. The Brilla was coming off an impressive 5-0 victory over the Atlanta Blackhawks. The game clinched their spot in the 2009 PDL playoffs.

Metros to Face Mississippi and Atlanta in Final Home Games of the Season

The Nashville Metros will play host to the Mississippi Brilla and the Atlanta Blackhawks on Saturday and Sunday respectively. The Metros will play at Siegel Park Stadium in Murfreesboro on Saturday when they battle the Brilla, and return to the comforts of their home, Ezell Park, on Sunday to face long time rival Atlanta.

The Metros will hope to get their first win in July when the Bradenton Academics who are top on the Southeastern division travel to Nashville. The Metros recently returned from a tough road trip where they tied the New Orleans Jesters 1-1, when Dustin Dawes crushed in a free kick for his seconded goal of the season. Two days later the Metros were defeated by the Mississippi Brilla 0-4.

The Metros 2-6-4 will be facing the Academics 6-1-3 the top team in the Southeastern Division

NASHVILLE – As a part of their 20th Anniversary celebration, the Nashville Metros returned to BGA High School where they played as the Tennessee Rhythm for 2 years in 1999-2000. Many retired Metros players, including former United Soccer League’s MVP Pasi Kinturi, where in attendance to cheer on the squad.

NASHVILLE, TN -- The Nashville Metros traveled to Baton Rouge Friday night seeking revenge for a 1-0 loss suffered at the hands of the Capitals earlier in the season, but were only able to manage a 1-1 draw.

NASHVILLE, TN -- The Nashville Metros proved more than Panama City could handle Saturday night defeating the Pirates 2-0. The game marks the team’s first home win of the 2009 campaign.

Nashville’s strong defense, led by newcomer Dan Williams in goal, stymied Panama City’s attack and recorded Nashville’s first shutout of the season.

The Nashville Metros opened their home campaign Sunday night against the Baton Rouge Capitals.  After their win against the Atlanta Blackhawks on Thursday, the Metros looked to gain momentum by pulling out another victory.

July 18, 2008 - The Nashville Metros began their 2008 PDL campaign will a road trip to Greensboro and Cary. The season will end versus the same opponents in the same venues when they take on the Carolina Dynamo and the Cary RailHawks U23's this weekend. With their win last Saturday night, the Metros (3-0-11, 9 points) have already improved upon their win total from 2007. A point in either match this weekend will better last season's points total as well.

GREENSBORO, NC - Coming off a 2-1 storm-shortened loss to the Nashville Metros on July 12 that knocked them out of playoff contention, the Carolina Dynamo (7-2-6, 23 points) exacted a bit of revenge a week later, defeating the Metros 4-0.

In the last match of the season for both teams, the Cary RailHawks U23's defeated the Nashville Metros 6-1 on Saturday night.
